歷史

2004年2月6日Synthes-Stratec 與 Mathys Medizinaltechnik AG 合并為一家全球性的骨科器材公司。4月22日 公司更名為Synthes, Inc.并于同年4月份通過購買美國Gelifex公司進入脊柱髓核置換市場。
2003年 Synthes-Stratec 收購 SPINE SOLUTIONS 公司（全球領先的人工椎間盤制造商），并將Medivision出售給Praxim SA，另外Mathys Medizinaltechnik AG 和 Synthes-Stratec 同意合并, 組成一家全球領先的骨科器材公司。

Medically approved products

Synthes develops, produces and markets products that have been reviewed and approved by the clinically independent "Technical Commission" of the AO Foundation.
